About the National Do Not Call List
Registering and De-Registering your phone number
If you wish to reduce the number of unsolicited calls you receive, you may register your personal telephone number including landline, wireless, fax, or VoIP on the National Do Not Call List (DNCL).
You may only register and/or remove a number for which you are the service subscriber or for which you have been granted the express authority to act on behalf of the service subscriber.
Your registration becomes effective thirty-one (31) days after you register. Once you register your number, it does not expire, and will stay on the list indefinitely unless you remove it.
Business to business telemarketing calls are exempt from the National DNCL. Therefore, business numbers are not to be registered on the National DNCL, including personal telephone lines that are also used for business purposes.
